Hi to the best musician ever! I learned a lot from you. Every time I sing Summertime (which was my favorite along with Funny Valentine played by you, of course) I think of you and Ronnie. Much affection and I am happy to be on your list; I'll try and catch you when I'm in Pittsburgh!

WOW!! Gene Ludwig is coming to Santa Cruz! It is going to be a long wait until October to see and hear one of the great organists, but I'll be there. Thanks for making the trek out our way. Maybe a new CD for sale when you come out!?

Was just listening to some stuff you did with Sonny Stitt; great stuff. Had the pleasure of seeing you at the Tri-C fest a couple years ago; "Duff's Blues" tore it up. Hope to see you back here in Cleveland in the near future. Thanks again for all the wonderful music.

Gene--It's a pleasure to see you online. Wish you'd get to DC once in a while. I played jazz guitar for years but gave that up in the 80s because of my broadcast career; switched to the Hammond after deciding it was A) too much hassle to try and get the guitar chops back B)deciding I wanted to try something new. Bought an A100 in 1999 and never looked back. You have always been a terrific player and deserve more national attention. Pittsburgh is a much better place for having you as one of its favorite sons. Please don't hesitate to contact me. I would love to come up and spend some time with you, either during a gig or otherwise.

Hey, Gene! Was just surfing and happened across your home page. Been a long time, but I'm still out here, and still have fond memories of BS'ing with you and listening to you at the Loft Lounge (now defunct). I still have a picture of sitting in on your B3...as I recall, you were playing my strap on keyboard at the time. Anyway, just want to say 'hi' and let you know that as far as I'm concerned, you are and always will be 'Simply, the best'. Take care and keep modulating :)

I LOVE B3 organ jazz and saw you and never forgot you after seeing you at the Pythod Club in Roch., NY while I attended the U.of Rochester between 1964-68. I can't believe I missed the Suffolk B3 summit because I live in Hampton, Va.

As an aspiring organist at age 53! I was pleasantly surprised to learn about you via a CD purchase on eBay. You are my kind of organist. Solid, grooving and careful to keep ego out of it. Play on! I will keep my eye on your news to see if you make it down my way... New Orleans. Have you considered a teaching program for us neophytes? Happy Holidays!

Hello there and good morning from The Netherlands.
As my father was a professional Hammond Organ player, I grew up with the sound of Hammond Organ(s). So....I became a Hammond Organ fanatic and I'm always on the internet, trying to find 'new' (to me anyway) players.
I've known the name Gene Ludwig and his music for a while, have been to his website many times before (never signed up for the newsletter before though). I love his way of playing, it comes closest to the way my father - who passed away 2 years ago - used to 'handle' a Hammond.
The name Gene Ludwig is rather well known amongst Hammond Organ lovers over here in the Netherlands, but I guess you don't get many subscribers (to the newsletter) from our small country ? I'm looking forward to the newsletter.
Have a very nice day and my regards to Gene.
Ben Weistra
